At Regent Training Centre you can choose a course that is relevant and interesting to you. Programmes have been chosen for their current relevance and the ability to pathway on from them to higher education and/or employment.
Programmes are developed in conjunction with the various industries and also our students, to make sure that the content is up to date and fresh.
All courses are approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) and are zero fees for 16 to 19 year olds (even 15 year olds if you have a Ministry of Education early leaving exemption from school). All courses lead to National Certificates or nationally recognized Vocational Pathway awards.
NCEA (National Certificate of Educational Achievement) is part of most programmes of study at Regent Training Centre. However, instead of upgrading your English and Math’s skills in a class room you can be out on a building site, in a forest or in an automotive workshop all the while not even realising that your academic skills and knowledge are increasing.
All courses are practice based and allow you to progress at your own speed, and in your own way. Tutors have come from the various industries and their aim is to support and guide you through your chosen course. As many of our previous students have said, at Regent Training “they don’t give up on you” and we do our very best to make sure you can achieve what you set out to.
