Forestry & Rural Skills

Northland is New Zealand's second-biggest forestry region with 200,000ha of plantations, and that means good job opportunities for graduates of Regent Training Centre’s Forestry and Rural Skills programme in Whangarei.

Under the guidance of a highly skilled and patient Tutor who has run forestry gangs around New Zealand, learners will gain practical skills and knowledge that will allow them to step in relatively well paid entry level jobs within the forestry industry. Safety is a key concern for Regent Training Centre, so the programme spends a substantial amount of time ensuring our students know the correct procedures and processes that are required for safe practice out on the job.

This programme is run from a dedicated rural campus where students will have access to machinery and tools, ATV’s, fields, trees, green houses, and the space to be able to practice the key skills you will be learning. Why not schedule a visit or enrol now?
