Curriculum:
Based on Te Whare Tapa Wha model of holistic health
Learner directed literacy (reading/writing) and numeracy (mathematics) skills development
Examples of course content:
Healthy lifestyles: goal setting, cooking, gardening, exercise, and looking after ourselves & whanau
Financial skills: reading bank statements, filling in forms, and personal banking
Course and employment skills: reading signs and manuals, filling in forms, and communication skills

Training Duration:
100 hours per learner Applications are accepted at all times as vacancies may arise at any stage during the year. A ‘trial period’ may be required.

Monday to Friday
Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must be:
New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, currently resident in New Zealand.
Applicants must also:
Have low levels of literacy (English) and/or numeracy (Mathematics).
This may be considered as having 80 credits or less on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) or
Have more than 80 credits but less than a total of 12 credits in literacy (English) and/or numeracy (Mathematics) unit/achievement standards.
