The true benefits of Intensive Literacy and Numeracy / ILN at Regent Training Centre – will probably not be fully realised by learners and their whānau until they are welcomed in and immersed into our kaupapa whānau, or have progressed through and gone on to exciting new futures.
The rewards for completing such a programme extend far beyond just English and Math’s. There are improvements in health, happiness and confidence that filter into all areas of life for the engaged learner. Motivation is gained which leads to learners seeing their own potential and the limitless opportunities out there in life for them to grasp and take hold of.
Our teaching and learning focuses on overall well being, and the context for teaching is learner directed, covering anything from driver licensing to employment skills and anything in between. The relevancy to an individual ensures that learning is interesting, fun and as effective as possible for each individual, at their own pace.

ZERO fees, if you are already on a WINZ benefit you should be able to remain on this, please talk to your Case Manager
Duration:
Full and part time options are available, course length is based upon learners needs and availability each week, however tuition needs to be a minimum of 5 hours per week, to a maximum of 300 hours of tuition in total.

Entry criteria:
Open to all ages, NZ citizen or Permanent Resident, learner must have low literacy - we can tell you if you are eligible. All learners will be assessed on the Tertiary Education Commission Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Tool prior to enrollment.
